How to disable Joomla extension via Joomla admin dashboard

Step 1: Log in to your Joomla site as the administrator.
Step 2: On the top menu bar, click Extensions, and then click Plugin Manager.
Step 3: Enabled plugins display a green checkmark icon in the Status column and the disabled plugins display a red icon in the Status column.
Step 4: Locate the plugin that you want to disable, and then click the green checkmark icon and the plugin will be disabled.
Step 5: Once the plugin disabled, it will show as a red icon in the Status column
